This Painting of the Northcoast of California From San Francisco to Oregon and Washington State (Look carefully at the background on the leftmost panel where you my see a suggestion of MT St Helens of Volcano fame ) was Painted on five pannals of stretched cotton canvas in various sizes and formats totaling 24 ft in width and tapering from 2 to 4 feet in height. It was painted by me, Partee, In the mid eighty's and commissioned by Capatani and Company an accounting firm at # 18 " the Oaks " a business center on North Dutton Avenue in Santa Rosa Ca.. Starting with the pencil sketch below the painting evolved over the summer of that year into what I feel is one of the Major accomplishments of my career as a working "artist"
Within this Painting are detailed views of many of the most well known places, past and present, in the San Francisco Bay area. The panel on the right shows the city of San Francisco with details of North Beach, Union Square, The civic center with city Hall, Golden gate park and even the now defunct Playland on the great Hwy and much more , Moving to the left (North) along the coast are the Golden gate bridge, with the rainbow tunnel and various inland and costal cities and in the last panel on the left I take a sharp turn to continue the view North to the Canadian Border and beyond
Hidden in this painting is a philosophical statment I make concerning the history of Europeans and Native Americans on this continent if you can find and and identify it email or call for your reward
